Doing the right thing is our motto and we strive daily to reduce the impact we have on our environment. We are founder members of Sustainable Wines of Great Britain and we are proud that both our vineyard and winery are certified 'sustainable' under under the scheme.
We are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of both the vineyard and winery, improving the health of our vineyard soils and conserving the vineyard and surrounding environment. It's an ongoing journey, but we have already taken big steps to ensure we meet our sustainability commitments.
Sustainability at the heart of our production.
Henners Vineyard is a founder member of Sustainable Wines of Great Britain (SWGB), an initiative established in 2020 with an aim to ensure sustainability is at the heart of the English and Welsh wine industry.
We are proud that both our vineyard and winery are accredited under the Wine GB Sustainability scheme.

Our Approach
The vineyard benefits from a strong coastal influence, low elevation and rich, free-draining clay soils making the site ideally suited for the production of quality sparkling and still wines. Sea breezes are key to our success, minimising frost risk, reducing disease pressure and bringing a crisp salinity to our wines.
We have multiple vine clones and varieties planted to give us a broad palate of wines for final blending and play with reserve wines and oak barrels to contribute character, depth, richness and layers to our wines. Our wines are fermented and bottled on-site with our small, dedicated team responsible for every aspect of production.
Our range of award-winning English still & sparkling wines seek to respect, yet challenge, tradition. From grape to glass our team produces wines with character, style and quality. We are proud to be founder members of Sustainable Wines of Great Britain.
