Plan Your Visit

We are situated in the picturesque village of Herstmonceux, less than 10 miles from the historic towns of Battle, Eastbourne and Hastings and around the corner from Herstmonceux Castle & the Observatory Science Centre. We have an airy indoor tasting room and two beautiful terraces outside which overlook the vineyard and the Pevensey Levels.

Cellar Door

We welcome visitors to our Cellar Door. We are open to drop-ins for drink in, take away, and our fantastic Self Guided Tour!

Opening Hours:

Thursday: 12pm - 4pm

Friday: 12pm - 7pm

Saturday: 12pm - 7pm

Sunday: 12pm - 5pm

Please note, our hours change during October due to Harvest, we are running limited hours Thurs - Sun 12pm - 4pm for takeaway only. Fancy a tour? Book onto our Saturday Harvest Tour at 11am during the month of October.

View our cellar door menu here.

We have bike racks and electric charging points for two vehicles.

We are a dog & child friendly site, so please feel free to bring them along. We would ask that all dogs are kept on leads during your visit.

Tours and Tastings

Join us for a tour of the vineyard and winery! Walk the vines, learning more about our location, history, and sustainability practices. We'll then tour the winery, talking about how the wines themselves are made. This is finished with a tasting of select wines in our Cellar Door tasting room.

Group tours run Saturday and Sunday at 11am, for approximately two hours.

Our Tour groups are a maximum of 20 people so there is lots of opportunity to ask questions. Please enquire for private tours of 10 or more on any day of the week.

Please be aware that the ground may be uneven and guests should wear suitable footwear! We can't alas guarantee the weather, so a coat or umbrella might be needed too.

Tour and Tasting vouchers are also available.

Please contact us for more information at cellardoor@henners.com

Why not add a cheese board or cheese & charcuterie board to enjoy after your tour?

We serve local artisan farmhouse cheeses & charcuterie served on boards with local chutney which are available on the day or can be pre-booked.

Please note that we cannot guarantee availability of our delicious local farmhouse cheese & charcuterie boards unless booked 5 days in advance. This is due to our delivery times and quantities available.

You are invited to walk around our beautiful Estate at your own pace. Pick up a map from the Cellar Door shop and walk the vines with our optional wine flight. No need to book!
